Service and Philanthropy
As a fraternity, Kappa Kappa Delta recognizes that it and its brothers are fortunate to be able to attend an educational institution of such high quality. As part of our social responsibility, we provide our members with many opportunities to help those less fortunate than us. Every member is required to complete at least ten hours of on or off campus community service per semester, however most members choose to do more. In addition to hosting and attending service events, Kappas work to raise money for our official philanthropies, San Antonio Pets Alive and Concert for the Cure.
On Campus Service Events
Kappas sponsor and attend on-campus service events to give back to the Trinity Community. Over the years, members of Kappa Kappa Delta have participated in Team Trinity, the Trinity tradition of moving first years into their new dorms. We regularly participate in Chi Beta Epsilon and the Bengal Lancer's Chili Cook off and support a wide range of other clubs events.

Off Campus Service Events
In addition to on campus events, Kappas get involved in numerous service events in the San Antonio community throughout the year. Such events are diverse and have a wide range of impacts, including The Clarity Gala, Habitat for Humanity, and Pets Alive Animal Shelter to name a few.

Kappas recognize that monitary donations are another helpful method to give back to the San Antonio Community. We strive to support our official philanthropies in that regard by hosting fundraisers to benefit both San Antonio Pets Alive and Concert for the Cure.
Created in the 2007-2008 school year, numerous Kappas have been on the planning committe for the Concert for the Cure. The foundation has raised over $150,000 to date.

Concert for the Cure
Kappa Kappa Delta has also been a co-sponsor for the Gamma Chi Delta sorority's Concert for the Cure since its inception in 2005. As part of our commitment, we assist with fundraising and event staffing, and even have several representatives on the planning committee. We look forward to continuing the Kappa tradition of helping the women of Gamma Chi Delta host this event and by doing so, fostering Greek unity with an enjoyable fundraising opportunity.
